HAPPINESS ACCORDING TO GOD

Happiness in the Bible is actually seen as a paradox, as an apparent contradiction to common sense. We could ask anyone, what should a person have to be happy? The typical answer that we would find is that the happy ones are those who have money, possessions, love of couple, achievements, have the latest technology or dress in style. However, not everyone has these things and not even those who have it can be said to be happy. Others perhaps, more profound, will say that happiness is in the family or when watching the sunset every afternoon or perhaps that happiness is in a good attitude to every circumstance of life.

But how can you be happy if pain and hopelessness invade your life?

The desire for happiness is something born in us but many times we are wrong in our search. The Bible speaks of it and calls it bliss which means happiness, fortune, or bliss.

Happiness in God

There are those who imagine a sad or angry, gray or apathetic God but more than that he is majestic and full of happiness and since his happiness does not depend on anything or anyone, he is the only one who can grant it to his creatures. There are many places where the human being can feel happy, but there is no place like next to the happy God. His presence is the place of greatest happiness because there is peace, acceptance, love and freedom. Then he becomes the means and the ultimate goal of our happiness. Can't we be happy without God? The Bible does not ignore that there can be many many gods and ways of thinking and everyone has at least one, but none of them guarantees happiness, but God does. Psalms 144: 15… Blessed is the people whose God is the Lord. Happiness according to the Bible is determined by the relationship you have with God through faith and obedience to his commandments. Then happiness is seen as a gift given by God to his children. This does not ignore that there are people who temporarily enjoy the things of this life, who live partying, who have their physical and emotional needs satisfied, but it means that if there is a good and just God, he is aware of human beings for give each one according to his works happiness and hope, but he will not give it to those who do not deserve it. So how do we achieve happiness with God?

Experiencing forgiveness

You cannot be happy with the terrible burden of guilt on our shoulders even if you have everything or are surrounded by fame and pleasure. Man needs God's forgiveness to be happy.

Learning to trust God

You can live an unhappy life if you look at others and the injustices they commit, you can believe in chance or you can believe in yourself, but nothing will make you feel safe or at peace. Only when he clings to trust God does he begin to see the world in a different way. His faith helps him face life's circumstances with a smile.

Learning to do his will we will be happy

The basic means of achieving this is the Bible. The Bible declares happy those who read it, meditate on it and apply it to their lives. Happiness for enjoying her enormous beauty, wisdom and common sense. Happiness because it guides on the right path and for success, because it brings peace and avoids evil. Happiness because doing good in itself brings joy.
