THE LEGACY OF A MOTHER

2 Timothy 1:5-7 New International Version (NIV)

5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

A mother's words are never completely forgotten, their caresses leave a feeble impression and the memory of his presence lasts a lifetime. If you were blessed with a good mother, you reap the benefits for the rest of your days. If your mother neglected your needs or failure to support your father, unfortunately much of what you suffered may not be erased. For better or for worse the branding a mother are permanent.

However, there is always a hope for those who have been marked negatively in their life. Where homes were dysfunctional; where the figure of a mother is absent, but present for mistakes. We as mother are committed in the upbringing of our children.

There is God's forgiveness and reconciliation of all parents and children. Given the task of cooperating with God for the restoration of destroyed homes, because always in God there is hope, and the power of God is to transform our lives. We see so many people fight for a long time, because they have no ways to understand or respond to the way as they were bred maternally, for better or for worse. We firmly believe that God Decree how special and important maternal parenting is; When he says in his word, "Honor your father and your mother."

We also need to be honest to tell the truth; recognize our mistakes let us repent and allow God to work in our lives, and take the responsibility; forgive, and at the same time honoring our parents. Because Jesus came to this world to reconcile man with God. Reconcile the relationship of parents to children. The grand design of God for man is meet the great needs of reconciliation. We are all called to ask for and give forgiveness, and as a result, we can enjoy better lives and relationships.

Being a MOM is of great value to God, is a privilege that God has granted us to carry a helpless child in our bellies to raise them to be a child of good for society. Mother’s don't know what you have loaded in your belly; a future with promise; a great man/woman, a purpose for God. Not reneging the role of being a mother. You raise them with passion; with responsibility; tenderly with love, you accept that large roll and that great privilege.

The first thing that a mother should bring home is transparent tenderness. Parents learn diligence, we discovered the value of money, enough for hard work, the meaning of honesty, stay standing when everything seems to go against you, but as mothers we learn tenderness. Mothers teach their children to be sensitive, affectionate and full of compassion, grieve when they lose something or someone special for them those emotions from challenging.

Mothers should never lose that tenderness, if you swallow the message from feminist today who are militant, masculine, rough, and even a little vile. Timothy found tenderness in his house and that is the first thing that the Apostle Paul reminds him of that. He was man enough to shed tears.

Other contributions that a mother should bring home is; authentic spirituality. Be real. Have a sincere spirituality; not hypocritical and insincere. Paul knew the inheritance that Timothy mother and grandmother had given him. To Timothy; it was his roots "the sincere faith the things that characterized his grandmother and the mother were also characterized in Timothy. All of that comes from one thing "Love."

That in your day you are filled with blessings, hugs, love and the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. “AMEN”
